So, your son’s been begging you to get him a Kid ATV and you have given him the green light – but did it occur to you that just buying the Kid ATV alone for him is not enough? Before your jaw dropped any lower, let me explain. When you buy a house, you need to buy the other stuffs like beds, sofas, dining table and many other accessories, in order to “complete” the home, right? Well, the same goes for buying your son his Kid ATV. Other than just the Kid ATV, you need to get him the ATV accessories that come along with it. There, you do get what I am trying to tell you now, don’t you?

There are a great variety of Kid ATV accessories that you will be able to find online or at the ATV shops – but I am sure if you have visited websites like http://www.jackel.com or http://www.kidatv.com to “survey” on the Kid ATV models that they have, you would also know that just like the various Kid ATVs that you see at these sites, there are many different types of ATV accessories available too. As many as the ATV accessories out there in the market, there are the basics of the ATV accessories that your son must have.

One of such is the helmet. It is the most important accessory that he must have if he’s going to be riding on his Kid ATV. If he happens to be in an ATV accident, the part of his body that really needs protection would be his head! There are many types of ATV helmets and the more protection the helmet provides, the better it is. Some helmets are made just to protect the head while others are made to protect the head and the face of the rider as well. I personally feel that the latter is better because it prevents the rider from being poked in the eye and scratched by branches while he or she is riding.

Goggles will protect the eyes of the ATV rider and is also another important accessory for your son’s ATV riding trips. Not only does it protect his eyes from any sort of eye injury but is also important because the rider will not have his vision blocked by mud or other types of debris while he is riding. Jerseys and pants are also part of the accessories for ATV riders because they do provide a little more protection compared to normal clothes and are more comfortable to be worn for ATV riding. Besides, your son will probably prefer the jerseys and pants that are meant for ATV riding because it will make him look like a “real” ATV rider.

Should your son also have plans to have night time riding excursions with his friends, you may want to consider getting him a headlight kit for his Kid ATV, that allows the rider to see at night. Surely you don’t want your son to be riding in the night without some sort of lights to direct his paths, would you? I believe that it is better to invest a little more on headlights for his Kid ATV than to receive news of him crashing into a tree or another rider while he’s riding on his Kid ATV in the night.

Of course, there are many more kid ATV accessories out there that is available, but it does not mean that you have to buy ALL of them. It really depends on how much your son is “into” ATV riding. There is no need for you to go out and grab all the ATV accessories that you see in the shops – just get what is really necessary for him first and then gradually add on when the need arises.

It would seem like everyone’s looking to buy an ATV these days, but just how does one go about getting an ATV from a dealer that is reliable, trustworthy and most importantly, one who is able to provide great after sales service? With the amount of ATV dealers out there, how are you going to decide which one would be the ATV dealer to buy your ATV from?

Some of the aspects that you should be looking out for when searching for the right ATV dealer is their reputation – a reliable ATV dealer would have a good reputation. Their products come with warranty and yes, even the parts are available as and when you need them, unlike some ATV dealers who claim to have the parts but in actual fact, they only arrange to order the parts when you need them and not have the ATV parts physically in their stores. The cost of ATVs also plays an important factor when you are making your choice of ATV to buy. Unless you have a bank account that is really fat, it would be quite wise to buy off brand ATVs instead of branded ones – there are some pretty neat ATVs out there that are not “branded” but they are just as good as the top of the line ATVs that you hear about. It’s true that there are some unscrupulous ATV dealers out there may make claims but are not able to fulfill their promises. So, you have to be really careful when dealing with ATV dealers who make “big” claims about their machines.

And if you are looking to buy an ATV for yourself or even for your kids, you should really check out Jackel Motorsports at http://www.jackel.com for some great ATV models and best of all, they are the kind of dealer that you can depend on when it comes to quality and reliability of their ATVs – just pay a visit to their website and see for yourself! Their machines come with warranty and they also provide excellent after sales service – anything that you need to know about your ATV is provided for. All you need to do is just to give them a ring and you can be assured that they are ever ready to help you out.

Jackel Motorsports’ ATVs are made of high quality materials and sold at affordable prices. Their ATVs are built to the same quality of “branded” ATVs such as Honda, Polaris or Yamaha but their prices are only a fraction of the cost of the “big” named ATVs. Why would you want to pay more for your ATV when you can get the same quality at an even cheaper price? And if you are worried about those fly by night ATV dealers, you can be sure that Jackel Motorsports does not belong to such category. So, should you be looking to choose your ATV, look towards Jackel Motorsports. You will not regret it!

Your son practically “crashed” through the entrance of your home announcing that he needs parts for his Chinese Kid ATV and you are caught off guard – you didn’t think that you’d need to (well, at least not so soon) replace any part of the Chinese Kid ATV that you bought for your son. But, kids are kids – when they get behind those ATV wheels, they seem to think that they are “kings of the road” and they are not particularly gentle with their Kid ATVs either. So, when your son comes crashing into the house announcing to you that his Chinese Kid ATV needs some fixing up, what do you do? Well, I guess the most sensible thing to do would be to call up the ATV store that you bought his Chinese Kid ATV from and ask for the parts – IF it’s only that easy.

You see, most Chinese Kid ATV dealers only sell their ATVs but rarely do they keep the ATV parts available in their stores – even if they tell you that they will have the parts available, they usually only place order for them when you need them. And if you have already tried calling the ATV store and the answer you got from them was “We are sorry, but you will have to wait at least 3 months before the parts arrive” – it sure is not the kind of statement that you’d like to hear, but don’t panic just yet. There’s still another place that you can go to for your son’s Chinese Kid ATV parts.

Have you ever heard of Kazuma ATV Parts? If you have, good for you, but if you haven’t well, it’s not too late to find out that they are THE best people to go to for Chinese ATV parts – be it for adult ATVs, Youth ATVs or Kid ATVs.

Kazuma ATV Parts is the only source for Kazuma ATV parts, Chinese ATV parts as well as Kid ATV parts that actually ships to you the ATV parts that you need on the same day, or latest by the following day. Not only do they specialize in all the hard to find Kid ATV parts, their technicians are very well trained and if you ever have any sort of problem with your Kid ATV, you could always call them toll free at 1-888-529-8621 and speak to one of them and they will be more than glad to troubleshoot your ATV problem with you. Where else will you get such excellent assistance but at Kazuma ATV Parts? So, what are you waiting for? Pick up that phone and dial that toll free number and get those Kid ATV parts that your son needs – the sooner you do it, the sooner your son will cease to bug you about it!

In our industry, it’s important to be in the know about what consumers want and what they feel about ATV as a sport. And we make it a point to make a few rounds a month talking and dealing with ATV sales people and shop owners. Many more people have decided to take up ATV as a recreational sport and ATV riding has become an extremely popular family activity and we noticed that the demand for used ATV parts have also increased. It’s logical.

Many of the shop owners that we talked to during those rounds expressed an interesting increase in sale of their used ATV parts. Used ATV parts sold in the market are usually of very good quality because some of these used ATV parts come from brand new ATVs. Some local racers and Pro ATV racers like to take their machines apart and modify it with used ATV parts to make their ATVs more powerful. Hence, the left over ATV parts are sold off as used ATV parts.

Another example of how these shop owners source for their used ATV parts is this. Let’s just say a guy wants to revamp his ATV and takes it to the shop and he wants to replace his A-arm with something different – something better. The shop owner will take off the existing A-Arm on the ATV, puts the new A-Arm on and then buys the old used A-Arm from the owner! Accordingly, among all the used ATV parts that are in demand, the A-Arm, footpegs and shocks are very popular.

It makes a lot of sense buying used ATV parts because if you’re an ATV rider on a budget and you just need to replace the shocks on your ATV, wouldn’t it make more sense to buy a used ATV part instead of spending twice the amount of money on new aftermarket ATV part?

Indeed, if you look at things closely, you can imagine the kind of money you’ll be able to save every single year on ATV parts when you use used ATV parts. And if you’re a regular rider, you should know firsthand that the beating that your ATV has to endure is rather severe. Hence, if you want to continue enjoying ATV as a sport, then consider getting used ATV parts when repair or replacement is required. And if you spend time getting chummy with the owner of the used ATV part owner, you might even earn yourself a bit fat discount every time you purchase ATV part from him…or her.

There’s more to choosing the right type of ATV helmet than just measuring the circumference of your head, the design and color of the ATV helmet, the brand of the ATV helmet or the make of the helmet. Here are some out-of-the-books tips and tricks to finding an ATV helmet that is not only right for your head but will not come off if the unexpected happens. Don’t be surprised, even when the ATV helmet fits perfectly on your head, during a collision, the ATV helmet might not be safe and secure enough to protect your head from impact. So, here we go.

How snug and fitting should the ATV helmet be?

You’ve heard many people say it over and over again – your ATV helmet must always fit your head snugly. But how snug is snug, how tight is tight and how loose is loose? Here’s a tip that you can use when you’re shopping for the right ATV helmet. Pull it on and judge for yourself – if you can easily pull the ATV helmet on without having to give the bottom part of the helmet a little yank so that your head can fit in, choose another size. That ATV helmet won’t hold if anything were to happen to you.

Shake your head after wearing the ATV helmet. Does it grip?

Well, in short, an ATV helmet is only perfect for you if it sort of grabs your cheeks and jaw COMFORTABLY. And after pulling the ATV helmet on, it should not wobble around when you shake your head from side to side or front to back. If it shakes, ditch it and pick another.

Try tugging it off when you’re trying out the ATV helmet

As mentioned above, the ATV helmet should stay put where it’s supposed to stay and not shake around when you shake your head. In order to ensure that it will remain on even on impact, try tugging it off without releasing the retention system closure – does it come off? If it does, the ATV helmet is not right for you. And then grab around the ATV helmet and try to tug it off. if the ATV helmet is right for you, you should feel the inside lining of the ATV helmet pulling at your skin as it come off.

Size is right but a big ATV helmet is not right

In most cases, bigger is better but in the case of ATV helmets, bigger is NOT better. Remember, we’re talking about protecting your HEAD, your HQ! it should be just nice. Not only is a big ATV helmet unsafe, it can also get very noisy when you’re wearing it. On top of that, it wouldn’t make any sense for you to keep adjusting the ATV helmet on your head all the time when you’re riding – that’s just too dangerous!

NEVER get an ATV helmet too big for your kids

This is just way too common – parents buying slightly oversized ATV helmets for their kids because it might last a few more years since kids outgrow their things awfully fast. You can do that with normal clothing but you should not compromise the life of your child by buying an ATV helmet too big for him or her. If anything bad were to happen, the ATV helmet might just fly off the head of your child upon impact and fail to protect the most vital body part of the child!

So, remember, in order to get the right ATV helmet, you need to know HOW to choose it – if it doesn’t fit, return it and change it until it fits! There’s nothing to be shy about – being safe isn’t a bad thing!

Happy ATVing!

ATVs have become a “household” sports and almost every person in the country have either heard of it or rode on one. With the popularity of ATVs growing, it is no wonder that the prices of branded ATVs could hit as high as tens of thousands, but do you really have to pay such steep prices for family recreation fun? The answer is “No” – ATVs do not have to be an expensive family sports, if you know the right places to get good quality ATVs at bargain prices. And just where would that be? Why, get your ATVs at wholesale prices, of course!

If you and your family members have been itching to get your hands (or legs, for that matter!) on good ATVs with reasonable prices and see for yourself what you can get from them at wholesale prices. Not every ATV dealer in town is able to offer you ATVs at wholesale prices, but only ATV dealers that manufacture and produce their own machines are able to do that and Jackel Motorsports is just that kind of ATV dealer.

ATV wholesalers are also one stop centers for all your ATV needs. All you need to do is just give them a call or visit them at their websites to see what ATV models and warranty for their machines that they have to offer. In fact, a reliable ATV dealer or wholesaler is one that is able to provide you with after sales service and assure you that no matter what your needs are for your ATVs, they are always ever ready to assist you.

Of course, while you are on your hunt for ATVs be it from wholesalers or retailers, there are a few things about ATVs that you should know too. Questions like your budget for the ATVs that you are looking to buy (assuming that you intend to get one for each member of your family), the type or model of ATVs that you and your family members are interested in (may I remind you that for children under the age of 16 are not allowed on adult ATVs), the kind of features that you want on your ATVs and the list goes on. It would be a great idea if you sit down with your family members and get their thoughts all written down so that it would make your search for an ATV wholesaler a lot easier, because with the list, you would be able to gauge if the ATV wholesaler that you are dealing with is able to meet the needs of you and your family members.

Another great thing about going straight to ATV wholesalers for your ATVs is that they are usually able to meet the budget that you have set aside for the purchase of your ATVs. With retailers, the prices are usually fixed and you can’t really squeeze them for more discounts. And if you are buying for the whole family, every cent counts!

Irregardless of whether you’re a serious Pro ATV racer or your average kid ATV trail rider, if you actively ride, chances are, you’ve broken your ATV’s axle before. Even for kids and especially youths, having the ATV axle bend or break is a pretty common thing, hence, we always a have a few of these parts locked up in the garage, just in case. It’s a hassle to break it and then try to find it. So, if you actively ride your ATV and is prone to trying new tricks to impress gals in your neighborhood, then you should get a couple of spare ATV axles for those unfortunate moments. It’s pretty common for kids to break their axles too especially the inexperienced ones because they don’t completely know how to control their ATVs properly.

The way you install an ATV axle differs from ATV to ATV…it depends on the make and model of the ATV. However, if you take the popular Honda, this might be a general idea on how to install the ATV axle on it.

If you’re looking to purchase ATV axles online, try doing a simple search on http://www.google.com for ‘ATV parts’ or ‘ATV axle parts’. We’re sure you’ll find some pretty reliable ATV part retailers out there.

The first thing you’ll need to do is to put your ATV up on a stand and then remove all the tires. Remember to gather all the tools you need in order to install your ATV axle with you before you start. You don’t want to remove all the parts and then discover you can’t find a particular tool…and you’ll end up with a taken-apart ATV awaiting further action until the needed tool is found! Usually, the next ATV part to come off will be the brake caliper – remove it and place it in a safe place.

Then work on removing the large hub nut next. Actually, on most Honda ATVs, you’ll get ATV two hub nuts…one main nut and the other is the retaining nut. From the ATV’s nut side, push the axle through the swingarm. This can be a challenge even for big blokes like us so, you might need some extra help here. Use of a rubber mallet will help tremendously. Remove the retaining clip and remove the ATV’s hub nut off the axle…one at a time, please.

Now, the removal part is done. Get the new ATV axle ready and place it through the side where the ATV sprocket is. And since taking it out was a little tough, did you think it was going to be easy getting it in? Nnnaaahhh…. Anyway, thank goodness for the invention of the rubber mallet. Most new ATV axles will come with new sprockets, so, if that is the case, then you can remove and store or throw away the old ATV sprockets.

From here, you can reverse what you did by installing the ATV sprocket back in, then the rotor hub, then the ATV’s brake caliper. This is followed by you sliding in the ATV’s hub and then the stock hub nut. Remember to tighten the hub nut and the axle nuts before running the ATV. And then one more thing and you’re done with it – insert new cotter pins and Viola….you’ve replaced your ATV’s axle!

Many of you who are new to the sport of ATV riding where exposed to it from a tourist standpoint. The business of renting all terrain vehicles out as a tourist attraction is a growing trend all around the world. If you are interested in testing ATVs out, it should be no problem to find a park fairly close where trails are set up and rentals are available. The ease of getting a hold of an ATV by renting them instead of having to buy your own contributes to the growth in popularity of riding quads.

Areas where tourism is a major source of income are often established that way because of the attractive terrain and nature surrounding the place. Untouched and unexplored land is any ATV rider’s dream, which is why trails have been established in these nature tourist areas. An area with already high tourist traffic is only enhanced when ATV riding trails are set up because a new crowd is lured in.

You could be very safe with saying that there are ATV trails and rentals established in every state in the nation. ATVing is popular all over the world as well, in places like Canada, Britain and Australia. In the United States Hawaii, Arizona, Nevada and Virginia have some of the most well known ATV trails. These trails, and many others, have become an important element in the tourist business.

People from all over enjoy ATV riding on their vacations because adventure tours and experiences are a popular tourist attraction these days. A thrill ride through the rough trails to give a person an adrenaline rush for a few hours is how many people define their vacations. Sky diving, bungee jumping and parasailing are all sports that have become major tourist attractions, and ATVing has joined the bunch.

An ATV ride for a thrill is a great day adventure for a tourist, but just as with the other thriller sports, ATVing can be very dangerous and tourist are often newcomers to the sport as well, which could cause a more dangerous scenario. This is why you and any tourist trying ATVing out for the first time on vacation should strictly follow the rules and regulations established by the rental shop taking you riding.

Protective equipment is necessary. Ask for a helmet and safety goggles if they are not offered to you on your guided tour. Any time you are riding ATVs, no matter how much a beginner you are, expect to get dirty. You will be riding over rough trails that may not be much of a trail at all, which means branches, leaves, sticks and other objects will be kicked up as you ride over them. For this reason, wear full coverage clothing. Long pants and a long sleeve shirt should be satisfactory.

ATV riding and tourism are a great combination as long as the proper safety measures are taken. Newcomers should go through a short lesson before straddling the seat and taking an ATV for a ride. For tourists in any area where trails are set up, riding ATVs are a great way to get a rush and experience the environment at the same time.

Read and check out the following items you might need when driving your own ATV.

Riding your own ATV is one of the most thrilling experience you could have. Before doing that, you must secure some accessories that might come in handy for safety and convenience in handling your ATVs. Here’s a list of items you might need.

Lift kits

Suspension lifts are needed to elevate the ride height of the ATVs. These accessories permit a steeper ascent and descent, and can enable higher ground clearance. With Lift kits, you can have more space for bigger tires. One drawback though is the legality, as some laws have limits on heights and placement of bumpers.

Safety gears

Safety equipments are a must for ATV drivers. You need helmets with full-face covers to protect your head while driving. Eye-goggles to prevent dirt from coming contact with your eyes. Gloves and safety pads to protect your hands, knees, chest, and extremities. A kidney belt to help position your backs and stomachs when driving.

ATV trailers

ATV trailers come in handy to transport your ATV to the place it will be used. In US, driving an ATV is not legal in some states so it’s wise to invest an ATV trailer. The trailer should feature solid frames to keep the ATV in position while being transported. The usual trailer have a perfect design to enable supreme maneuverability and stability on it’s load, while driving on the highway

ATV ramps

Ramps are needed to transfer your ATVs from the ground back to the trailer or trucks and vice versa. It’s a handy equipment efficient for moving and securing safely your ATVs. Ramps come in different shapes and sizes and prices depend on the weight and length.

Cab enclosure

Cab enclosures are necessary to protect your ATV from unpredictable weather conditions when you are using it. It can a frame or a cabin cover. Choose appropriately the covers that fit on your ATVs.

Snow blade attachments

A snow plow made with corrugated steel comes in handy when you constantly shovel snow or scrape of dirt from your ATV. If you think of buying an ATV snow plow, find the one best fits your ATV.

Since the use of ATVs are limited in most parts of the States, you must be confident of the items that you might need for convenience. Always observe safety precautions.

When it comes to buying an ATV, it does not necessarily mean that buying a branded one would make the best choice. It is important that you spend some time doing some research and homework (especially if this is going to be your very FIRST attempt in purchasing an ATV), before you put in your money’s worth to buy the right ATV for yourself or even your loved ones.

ATV purchase checklist
Begin your hunt for the right ATV with a checklist. Your checklist should include questions such as :-

-	Which type of ATV is right for you? To answer this question, it really depends a lot on your purpose and riding style. If you intend to visit an ATV showroom, do not let the salesperson convince you into buying something that you may regret later.

-	Consider the age of the rider. The age of rider is important, especially if he or she is under 16 years of age. Certainly you can’t be buying an ATV that is meant for an adult rider for a kid that is only 10 years old! However, there are ATVs that are built for smaller riders, but are only to be ridden at the comfort of the backyard of your home and not on public land.

-	Rent first, buy later. If you are interested in a particular ATV model, you may want to try to rent one first before you decide to buy your own. Better yet, if you have a neighbor or a friend who happen to have the model that you have your eyes on, you could ask them to let you ride on it (on different occasions too, if they don’t mind) to see if it is the one for you. This way, you will save the heartache of buying the wrong type of ATV.

-	Automatic or Manual. This is also another point that you have to consider in your “research” for the right ATV. Some ATV riders prefer a manual transmission machine compared to an automatic one, but you do not have to go with the crowd – just get the one that you think is best for yourself.

-	Price. One of the most important decision making factor for your purchase of the ATV. Unless you have a huge budget set aside for the purchase of the ATV, price becomes an important decision factor.
