It used to be that ATVs were only for adults. Back when most ATVs were three wheelers, very few parents were brave enough to let their kids ride ATVs. Now that three wheelers are outlawed and all ATVs have four wheels, the market for kids ATVs is booming. And helping the market along is how affordable ATVs for kids really are.

As patents expire and production of ATVs becomes easier, affordable ATVs for kids have become very easy to find. There are a lot of kids ATVs on the market that are under one thousand dollars ($1000). Imagine being able to fill your child’s heart with joy by giving her or him an ATV. And all for under a grand!

But be careful when selecting an affordable ATV for your kid. You don’t want to automatically buy the cheapest ATV on the market. You may end up losing money in the long run if you buy an ATV that doesn’t fit with your child’s wants and needs. You also want to make sure you’re dealing with a good manufacturer and a trustworthy ATV dealer.

When you buy one of the many varieties of affordable ATVs for kids you want to make sure the ATV comes with a few essential things.

You always want to make sure you’re buying from a good ATV dealer. Make sure you find out about the dealer’s past and that you check for any customer testimonials.

Next, you want to make sure parts are easy to get for the affordable ATV you’re buying for your kid. Preferably the dealer will carry the parts. The dealer should at least be able to order and get the parts for the ATV when you need them. In this case, you’ll want to ask how long of a wait it’ll be before you’re dealer is able to get the needed parts.

Finally, you want to make sure you get a good deal on a warranty for the ATV. You don’t want to pay more money in the long run because the kids ATV you buy requires a lot of maintenance that isn’t covered by a warranty.

There are actually some great ATV dealers on the internet – you can search through affordable ATVs for kids right now! Some dealers will even offer discounts for multiple purchases of ATVs and free delivery on one or more ATVs.

Kids All terrain vehicles (ATV’s) are used very harshly and can be very difficult to maintain if a routine maintenance is not included in their upkeep. Breakdowns can occur when driving and engine failure can also become a big issue. Maintaining the ATV is a mandatory job; some people don’t follow the basics and end up spending huge amounts of money on the repairs. However, once the damage is done there is no going back to the real thing.

Olson Powersports reccomends maintaining an ATV includes different steps which can be performed one after the other at least once every 3 months. Some steps include:

1. Engine Maintenance: Engine maintenance includes taking care of the spark plugs, changing the oil and taking care of the other major elements of the engine.

2. Spark Plugs: Due to the rough treatment of the engine on different sorts of terrains, the spark plugs get carbonized and can become a problem if the tips of the spark plugs are not cleaned every 3 months. The carbon stops the electricity flow to the engine hence reducing the horsepower and killing the throttle.

3. Oil: Oil and filter change are mandatory in maintaining an ATV. If not changed periodically, you may end up with a muddy engine block and bad oil which would harm the engine.

4. Block Treatment: The engine block as a whole need to be checked and cleaned every 6 months. While changing the oil you can use pressure pumps to clean the block and also force the unwanted oil deposits which can be harmful to the flow of the pistons.

5. Suspension Maintenance: ATV’s are one of the hardest running vehicles when it comes to different terrains usage. The suspension is the part of the Quad Bike used the most, especially when you’re dealing in muddy or gravel terrains.

6. ATV Boots: The rubber covers on the axels are called Boots. These ATV boots take the most about of terrain thrown bumps as they are in direct contact with the hub of the wheel and the ATV axel. The boots can be torn easily if in contact with rocky terrains as well, therefore exposing the joints which are vulnerable to breakage.

7. ATV Inner Joints: The inner joints are vulnerable to breakage and tearing issues. They come directly under the ATV Boots and if the boots are torn, the joints are exposed which causes them to break because of direct contact with the terrain.

These are essential parts of the ATV and you can get kids atvs on http://olsonpowersports.net These and others need to be checked, maintained, and if necessary, replaced. Maintaining an ATV is not a hard thing if the parts like ATV Boots or ATV Inner Joints are being monitored, and the oil changing is timely.
